Dawn of the Dead gets 3-D release

3-D movies are hot and with about 1,000 3-D screens in the US, more and more studios are interested in making an extra buck with the alternative viewing method. This time George A. Romero's 1978 'Dawn of the Dead' will be converted into the 3-D format.

New Amsterdam Entertainment has hired In-Three, which will use their appropriately named 'dimensionalization' process. This means moving objects to the front or back in every frame to create the third dimension. If you are interested in turning your home made movies into 3-D too, the process will cost you about $50,000-$100,000 per minute. This would translate into about $4.5-$9 million for a full 90 minute movie. Not too bad right?
