Another day of war with Wolverine

Lake Macquarie got a closer look on the set of ‘X-Men Origins: Wolverine,’ which we also saw last week. These shots are taken on Blacksmiths Beach in Australia.

This ‘X-Men’ prequel won’t be directed by Bryan Singer, who did the first two ‘X-Men’ movies, but by Gavin Hood, who directed last year’s ‘Rendition.’ Could be mediocre/good?

Last 'Wall-e' shots to keep you warm at night

The last couple of photos of our beloved ‘Wall-e’ came in. I honestly think Disney has a new goldmine ready for release. Not only for in theaters, but also for in the shops.

The $120 million ‘Wall-e’ might not make the $864 million ‘Finding Nemo’ made worldwide in 2003, but I fully expect it to pass ‘Cars’ with $461 million in 2006.

Return of TV causes slump in online video views

Computer Gollum

With YouTube becoming the biggest ‘thing’ on the net, you would expect the distribution channel to grow and grow. But not last April. When the fresh TV episodes returned after the writers’ strike last winter, online video viewing fell 4.2%.

In the US, about 11 billion videos were viewed in April, down from 11.5 billion the month before. Because when ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ and ‘House’ returned, millions of people left their computers for dead, to return to their loved TV Sets.

135 million people (down from 139 million in March) watched an average of 82 videos. That’s 71% of the online audience, with about 228 minutes per viewer.

I reckon that’s the time the average person spends watching TV in a day. Maybe online video isn’t yet such a big threat as some make it out to be?
