Sex and the City: The Movie

sexandthecity

The Story

After 6 seasons of Sex and the City, of which the final episode aired in 2004, there will be a Sex and the City movie! The trailer is not telling us much about the story, but now and then we get to see some pictures that gives us a better idea of what the movie will bring. Will Carrie finally get married to Big? Is Charlotte ever going to be a mom? Will Miranda stay happily ever after with Steve? And last, but certainly not least, has Samantha find true love in boytoy Smith?

The Cast

Worth the Popcorn?

The 6th season of Sex and the City has ended in a satisfying way, everyone seems to have ended up just right. Now that there is a movie on the way it makes me wonder, are they just desperate for money or is it going to be a movie that really adds something to the tv show? Anyway, I am going to watch it because we could never get enough of Carrie, Miranda, Charlotte and Samantha, right?

Bridget Jones's Diary

bridgetjones

The Story

Bridget Jones struggles with her weight, her age, her job, her many imperfections and mostly with living without a boyfriend. After spending a lonely new year’s eve, Bridget decides to change her life. She starts keeping a diary to change her lifestyle and to finally get a boyfriend. But when her boss starts flirting with her and she keeps running into old friend Mark Darcy, who saw her running around naked when she was still a child, things are only getting worse.

The Cast

renee zellweger
hugh grant
colin firth

The Trailer

Worth the Popcorn?

While watching Bridget Jones’s Diary you just start feeling much better about yourself… Bridget is just so clumsy and always speaks her mind, which is getting her in embarrassing situations (she actually kind of reminds me of myself in some ways). Those situations are making this move absolutely hilarious. Besides that, Renee Zellweger has done a good job playing her role, she shows herself in a sweet, enthusiastic and naive way.

Of course, this isn’t the best romantic comedy ever made, but as a real pink popcorn fan, you should definitely have seen it at least once!

The Devil Wears Prada

devil wears prada

The Story

Andrea “Andy” Sachs has just graduated in journalism and wants to become a well known journalist. To accomplish that she applies for a job as second assistant of Miranda Priestly. She is the executive of the Runway fashion magazine and is able to give her assistants any job they would like to have, as long as they keep working for her during one year. But Miranda Priestly is a ruthless, merciless and cruel woman who will make the year a living hell for Andrea.

The Cast

dwp meryl streep
dwp anne hathaway
dwp emily blunt

The Trailer

Worth the Popcorn?

After reading the book I couldn’t wait to watch the movie in the cinema. The story about an executive of a fashion magazine, who acts as if she is queen of the universe, is really entertaining. It makes you feel bad for the assistant, but at the same time you want Miranda Priestly to make things even worse. Meryl Streep did an excellent job being a merciless and cruel woman to everyone around her.

A perfect movie for a sleepover with lots of popcorn!

The Notebook

the notebook

The Story

An old man reads a story from a notebook to an old woman every day. It is about the summer romance of Allie and Noah, which seems to be more than just a summer romance. Will they forget about each other after they were seperated by Allie’s parents, or will they get back together eventually?

The Cast

ryan gosling
rachel adams
james marsden

The Trailer

Worth the Popcorn?

The Notebook is a romantic love story, a real classic. Although the story of forbidden love has been told many times before, this movie really touches you. From the beginning of the movie it will take you away from your surroundings, into the story. This is what real love feels like. A deeply touching story which will make you think for days.

If only everyone could experience a love like that in real life.
