The first box office numbers are in and things are looking good for this weekend’s chick flick He’s Just Not That Into You. The 3D stop-motion-animation Coraline could have used a little more advertising and barely made Friday’s box office top 3. Meanwhile, Taken is still doing great. To my surprise, since it’s a year-old mediocre thriller. And what happened to Pink Panther 2?

The last weeks haven’t been too hot at the box office. Although ‘Paul Blart: Mall Cop’ surprised most by storming the box office, the critics have been disappointed for weeks. Will this weekend be different? What’s coming out and will we eat theater-made popcorn or are we going with the homemade?

The US box office wasn’t too exiting. But still, a surprising winner! Overseas things were quite different. ‘Seven Pounds’ is even generating some profit over there and ‘Yes Man’ is doing even better.
