Watch Being Jonah Hex

DC Comics anti-hero Jonah Hex has lived a tough life. An abusive alcoholic as a father. Being sold into slavery by that same father. His fiancé Cassie gets killed by Indians the day before their wedding. And to top it off, he sees his mother becoming a prostitute.

But things are looking up for Jonah Hex. Warner is making a movie about him, with Josh Brolin in the lead. He’s getting a fair enemy in the form of John Malkovich as Turnbull. And now, Megan Fox has signed to appear in the movie as well. She’ll play Leila, the love interest of Jonah Hex. A role which should be no problem for the Transformers star, seeing how she worked Shia LaBeouf. Production of the movie is starting in April and the movie is targeting a August 2010 release.

There has been an ongoing battle between the new Terminator and Transformers 2. Both directors, Michael Bay and McG, made some remarks about each other’s movies. For me, McG’s last remark made the most sense.

He said: “I think Transformers is a terrific picture, but that’s a picture whose genesis is in a toy. They’re sort of more colorful and optimistic and the pictures are sort of break dancing and flips and backspins. But ours is a very different, real world.”

For me, this is one of the reason’s I’m more skewed towards Terminator Salvation this summer. But the question remains. Can McG, also the director of the Charlie’s Angels movies, handle the Terminator franchise. He isn’t a household name, like Michael Bay. Well, the second Terminator Salvation trailer looks promising.
